Maccario Dringenberg Rossese di Dolceacqua "Curli" 2024

Maccario Dringenberg Rossese di Dolceacqua "Curli" 2024

The legend of Cru Curli endures in the hands of Giovanna and Goetz. Luigi Veronelli himself celebrated its singular character, describing it as the “Italian Romanée-Conti.” From the already tiny vineyard area in the municipality of Perinaldo, they have reclaimed just 0.35 hectares—yielding fruit of remarkable distinction.

With vines averaging 70–80 years of age, and a unique combination of soil and microclimate, the resulting wine is denser and more powerful than other Rossese di Dolceacqua, with impressive potential for long aging. The vines are trained in the Provençal alberello (bush vine) system—the only method capable of anchoring roots into this rugged, inaccessible terrain—at 400 meters above sea level, facing west.

The wine is crafted through slow maceration at controlled temperature, preserving both structure and finesse.
